You Can Personally Make A Difference In Rebuilding Haiti Today!

One of the Many

You can play a pivotal role in rebuilding homes in Haiti where over 500,000 people (mostly widowed women and  children, many of whom are orphans ) are still living in tents and suffering. The United aid Foundation and Hope For Haiti Healing have a proven record of delivering 97-98 cents of every donated dollar to those truly in need and has supplied over $1,300,000 in food, medicine, clothing, building and medical supplies since the earthquake.

I know you have heard the stories about waste, corruption and theft of donated funds but we are an organization where nobody draws a salary or any form of income except a couple of clerical workers that handle office responsibilities. Still skeptical? Here is your opportunity to stand up and be counted.

Contribute a minimum of $5,000 and you can personally travel with us this spring and personally help build 3 more houses and provide the finishing details on the three we built in the fall. You can see every dollar put to work. If you don't have $5,000 you can buy a door a window or a wall panel. We use a SIP wall panel process that is both hurricane and seismic resistant. This is not disposable housing like so much of the temporary relief shelter built in haste after the earthquake.

My name is Michael Wnek, founder of Hope For Haiti Healing, and you don't have to take my word for it. Click on any of the numerous links on this site and you can read the press covering our efforts and realize we are made up of ordinary folks who stood up and decided to make a difference and continue to, long after the hype and press have subsided. We need to raise $25-30,000 more to make this trip successful, and we are counting on people like you. Please stand up and make a difference. Come with us and lend a hand. No building experience is needed, just a desire to help. May God bless you richly.

Thank you for caring about the needs of the downtrodden and truly oppressed people of Haiti. Even in the best of times, Haiti is an economically challenged country, environmentally ravaged by years of out of control harvesting of its natural resources, and a land where basic needs like food and clean water are a daily struggle. The 2010 earthquake has amplified the pain and suffering to a level seen only a few times in our human history. The misery of the masses is compounded by substandard medical care, lack of shelter, and no hope for adequate employment.

Prior article.

Even the healthiest of Haitians will be hard pressed to survive the next several years while the country rebuilds. The thousands of amputees and severely injured are relegated to a near certain "death sentence" if they do not receive mental and physical therapy, as well as prosthesis' and physical training to regain mobility.

Hope for Haiti Healing is the website and organization representing the Haitian response team for the United Aid Foundation.  It beagan as a ministry outreach of the First United Methodist Church of Auburndale, Florida. Led by Michael Wnek, it has successfully ministered to thousands by delivering food, water, juice and foodstuffs to the hardest hit quake areas. At the same time, this ministry has delivered medical supplies, including antibiotics, trauma care products from suture kits to wound dressings, and external fixators. All supplies have been purchased with donated funds or rounded up from benevolent physicians and by support staff like Paul Sifton, and outside resources like John Alex, president of the United Aid Foundation. As a result of numerous trips to Haiti in concert with the United Aid Foundation it was decided to blend the two organizations, and Mr. Wnek joined the board of the United aid Foundation. Both organizations have similar operating platforms based on an all unpaid volunteer Board and senior staff and a committment to deliver every possible dollar to the needy. Thus far 97 -98 cents on every dollar donated gets to Haiti, and is personally delivered to the truly needy. All activities are now directed by the Board of Directors of the United Aid Foundation

Our current focus has shifted from relieving hunger, thirst and pain to building permanent housing to move those languishing in refugee camps into permanent earthquake and hurricane resistant housing. You can help in the restoration of body, mind and souls of our most beleagured brothers and sisters by donating to this cause. Please help.

Look Who's Helping...

JD Webb Lends Support

JD Webb, one of the most famous wakeboarders in the world, has stepped up and asked his friends and fans to help rebuild homes for Haitian earthquake victims. He has volunteered to travel to Haiti personally and begin homebuilding in the next 4-6 weeks, depending on when the building materials clear customs. He is also appealing for financial aid. You can make a difference whether you donate a dollar or a thousand dollars. You may not even have a dollar but you can do your part by posting this appeal on your facebook page and asking your friends to do the same. You can help us get over 300,000 kids out of wet, muddy tents and into a secure home.
